This Orange Yogurt Cooler is a delicious and healthy snack for an afternoon or evening pick-me-up. Mix in 1/2 a scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder and consider it breakfast!
4 small frozen bananas (or 3 large bananas)
2 cups unsweetened orange juice
1 cup plain yogurt
15 to 20 drops liquid stevia extract (to taste)
4 to 6 ice cubes
Instructions:Put everything (except the Stevia) in a Magic Bullet or Ninja Blender and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Open the blender, and taste, then add Stevia if necessary, and stir, or blend for another few seconds.
Garnish with a sprig of mint, a couple of berries or an orange slice and serve.
Note: The amount of Stevia you will need to use depends on how sweet your bananas and oranges are. Blend the bananas, orange juice, yogurt and ice first. Do a taste test and add Stevia if you would like a bit more sweetness.
Chef Joe’s favorite smoothie blender is the Magic Bullet NutriBullet because it is ultra fast, safe and easy for his kids to use.NutriBullet NBR-1201 12-Piece High-Speed Blender/Mixer System, Gray (600 Watts)
I love the Ninja Professional Blender because I think it is more of a “blender” and is therefore very versatile.
This is one of my favorite protein powders, because it is unflavored I can mix it into everything from green smoothies to fruit smoothies without altering the basic flavor profile of the smoothie. PROMIX #1 Selling Unflavored, 100% California Grass Fed Whey Protein
