Beef Paprika Strips In A Coconut Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless beef steak (cut into thin strips)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 1/2 tsp hot smoked paprika powder
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
Instructions
- Slice the beef steaks thinly, or cut into small cubes. Place in a ziplock plastic bag.
- Make a past of curry powder,hot paprika, smoky paprika, turmeric and 1 tbsp of melted coconut oil . Put the paste into the ziplock bag and massage it until the beef strips or cubes are evenly coated. Let sit for one to three hours at room temperature.
- Heat a wok on high heat and stir fry the beef for a few minutes until brown and just barely cooked through.
- Remove the meat and set aside.
- Melt the rest of the coconut oil and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
- Stir in the beef broth and coconut milk and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add in the mushrooms and simmer for a few minutes until they are soft. Add the beef strips and juices, warm through and season to taste.
