Beef Paprika Strips In A Coconut Sauce

Low Carb and Keto Friently, this paprika flavored beef dish is hot and spicy.

Beef Paprika Strips In A Coconut Sauce is a great recipe, perfect for  dinner or special occasion. Made with cubes or strips of beef steak and rich with coconut cream, mushroom and spices.

Beef Paprika Strips In A Coconut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless beef steak (cut into thin strips)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp hot smoked paprika powder
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream

Instructions

  • Slice the beef steaks thinly, or cut into small cubes. Place in a ziplock plastic bag.
  • Make a past of curry powder,hot paprika, smoky paprika, turmeric and 1 tbsp of melted coconut oil . Put the paste into the ziplock bag and massage it until the beef strips or cubes are evenly coated. Let sit for one to three hours at room temperature.
  • Heat a wok on high heat and stir fry the beef for a few minutes until brown and just barely cooked through.
  • Remove the meat and set aside.
  • Melt the rest of the coconut oil and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
  • Stir in the beef broth and coconut milk and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Add in the mushrooms and simmer for a few minutes until they are soft. Add the beef strips and juices, warm through and season to taste.

Notes

Hot Smoked Paprika Powder:  Substitute 1 1/2  teaspoon (or to taste) American Chili Powder.
