Are You Ready For Radical Changes In Your Life?
A little over 10 months ago, I started a 100 day challenge to write 100 words a day. I had well over a dozen people join me with their version of the challenge.
My challenge was a huge success. I not only completed my 100 days, but I am still going strong 283 days later.
About a month ago I was visiting with my friend Joanne and we were talking about the challenge. She attributed my challenge to changing her life. I thought that was a rather far reaching statement for such a small goal. Joanne went on to tell me that my 100 word challenge got her started with small daily successes, so when she was surfing and found Gary Ryan Blair’s BIG AUDACIOUS 100 Day Challenge, she jumped in.
Two Challenge rounds later she has:
- Lost 25 pounds
- Doubled her earnings as a Real Estate Broker, in the middle of a recession
- Completed three books and published them
- Completely changed her relationship with her three kids
She said that none of this would have happened if she had not joined Blair’s 100 Day Challenges.
The important thing about Gary Ryan Blair’s Challenge is that he urges you to make HUGE LIFE CHANGING goals. RADICAL and BOLD changes. He says that it is possible to make more changes in your life in 100 days than you have done in the past 10 years.
Think about it, if all you had to do was hunker down and follow through for 100 days to completely change your life, are you willing to do it (notice I didn’t say “try”)?
The 100 Day Challenge Program is more than just the statement of goals. You get big time support. Every day for 100 days (actually more) you get an amazing video that spurs you into action. The videos encourage you and keep you going when you get discouraged. The videos are REAL, they talk about how hard it is and how you can give up or just endure the hardship for a while until you break through.
You get email reminders daily, and an online dashboard where you can state your THREE goals and add daily To Do tasks. Once a week you evaluate how you are doing– what went right and what went wrong. AND if you are a people person, there is a Facebook page and a forum filled with like minded BIG goal people that will egg you on.
You’ll probably guess that I have JOINED THE CHALLENGE with a starting date of April 1st.
My BIG, AUDATIOUS and RADICAL health goals are:
- To REVERSE MY DIABETES Blood Glucose numbers. 99.9% of all doctors tell us this can’t be done. This includes MY diabetes specialist who thinks I am nuts. I intend to follow the advice of the 00.1% doctors who say it is possible!
- Exercise Daily: walk 5000 steps and do three HIIT sessions a week. My steps per day currently average under 500, so this is a BIG commitment for me. I have done HIIT before, but nothing in the past year, so I am anticipating a bit of hurt.
I will be writing about my health Challenge Goals on a weekly basis, tracking what I am doing, what works, what doesn’t and recording my results.
I am absolutely determined and committed to doing the 5000 steps a day. It is a radical challenge, but since there are loads of people who do two or even three times that every day, it is obviously possible!
The bigger challenge will be reducing my Blood Glucose levels. For anyone who does not have diabetes, you will be interested in knowing that reducing the numbers involves dozens of different factors including diet, exercise, drugs, stress levels and more.
For example, you can have a fabulous week with great Blood Glucose levels and then have a minor car accident. The stress of the accident, dealing with car repairs and getting angry at the careless driver who plowed into your back-end can have your Blood Glucose levels soaring. So can a cold or a toothache. All things that are not under your control.
Though my Reversing Diabetes Goal is a moving target, my efforts will focus on the two things I can control. Diet and exercise. I will be following a combination of the Ketogenic Diet with Intermittent Fasting. I will basically be my own test subject trying out various ideas and recording the results.
My third goal is to start a Sugar-Free-Zone newsletter and get 1000 subscribers (maybe you will be one of them). I will document my progress for this goal on my MelanieRockett.com blog.
